Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about fitment, installation, protection, and care.
No. This kit includes the mechanical 2-inch hitch receiver and mounting hardware only. A trailer wiring harness, lighting controller, brake controller, ball mount, hitch pin, and towing ball are not included unless shown as part of a separate bundle.
A basic hitch-mounted bike rack normally attaches directly to the 2-inch receiver and does not require trailer wiring. Additional wiring may still be needed if the rack includes lights or blocks the Bronco’s factory tail lights or license plate.
Yes. Trailer towing normally requires a compatible wiring system for the trailer’s brake lights, turn signals, and running lights. Some trailers may also require a brake controller and additional electrical equipment. The wiring system is sold separately.
This product is listed as a towing and hitch-accessory receiver and is not separately advertised as a rated kinetic-recovery point. Do not use it for snatch or kinetic recovery unless the vehicle manufacturer, receiver manufacturer, and recovery-equipment manufacturer specifically approve that use.
