Is this a locking security enclosure?
No. The retractable cover helps conceal cargo from casual view, but it is made from canvas and does not create a locked or fully enclosed storage compartment. Do not leave valuable items unattended in the vehicle.
Can someone still access the cargo underneath the cover?
Yes. The canvas cover is intended as a visual privacy screen rather than a physical security barrier. It can discourage casual viewing but cannot prevent forced access.
Should I drill into the trim if the adhesive will not hold?
No drilling is required for the intended installation. Do not drill into the interior trim unless you fully understand the parts and wiring behind the panel. Contact Mabett support for replacement brackets or installation assistance first.
Why does one side of the cover sag when fully extended?
First confirm that the left and right roller brackets and rear receiver brackets are installed at matching positions. Also check that the canvas retracts evenly across the roller. If one side remains noticeably loose after the brackets are correctly aligned, stop using the cover and contact Mabett support because the roller or canvas assembly may be defective.
