Why will the cubby base not sit fully inside the dashboard?
Remove the original rubber liner from the bottom of the factory dashboard cubby before installing the Mabett base. Leaving the factory liner in place prevents the new insert from seating fully and can make it appear too tall or incorrectly sized. Do not force the base if it remains raised after the liner is removed.
Does the magnetic phone holder provide wireless charging?
No. The magnetic holder positions and supports the phone but does not include a wireless charging module or powered connection. Use the Maverick’s charging port and a separate cable when charging is required.
Will the magnet work with every phone and protective case?
No. MagSafe-compatible phones and cases may attach directly, while other phones may require a compatible magnetic adapter ring. Very thick, soft, textured, curved, or oily cases can weaken the connection or prevent the adapter ring from bonding securely. Test the complete setup while parked before driving.
Will the phone stay secure on rough roads?
Magnetic retention depends on the phone weight, case thickness, adapter-ring adhesion, base fit, holder angle, and road conditions. The mount is intended for normal road use, but no magnetic holder can guarantee retention during severe impacts or aggressive off-road driving. Stop using the mount if the cubby base feels loose or the phone repeatedly shifts or falls.
