Does the hard bottom sag into the rear footwell?
The rigid panels are designed to bridge the rear footwell and create a flatter activity area. For the best support, unfold every panel completely, center the platform, and tighten the front and rear headrest straps evenly. Do not allow one section to remain partially folded or unsupported.
How much weight can the hard bottom support?
The hard-bottom platform is designed to support dogs during normal vehicle travel, but no specific maximum weight rating is currently published. Consider your dog’s size, movement, and how the weight is distributed across the platform. Do not use it to support people, heavy cargo, or concentrated loads.
Will the cover prevent my dog from falling into the footwell?
The hard-bottom extender covers the rear footwell and helps reduce the chance of your dog sliding between the front and rear seats during normal braking. It is not a replacement for a properly fitted pet harness or vehicle restraint.
Is the seat cover completely waterproof?
The 600D Oxford cloth surface is designed to resist everyday moisture, spills, mud, and saliva. However, seams, openings, mesh sections, and attachment points should not be treated as completely watertight. Clean liquid promptly rather than allowing it to remain on the cover.
