Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about fitment, installation, protection, and care.
The upgraded spring locks, independent panel lock, and rubber contact strips are designed to reduce movement and driving noise. For the quietest result, tighten all mounting hardware evenly and adjust both clasps until the folded table closes firmly without free play.
Adjust each clasp gradually until it pulls the folded panel firmly against the frame. The latch should close securely without requiring excessive force. Adjust both sides evenly and test the table by gently pulling and shaking it before driving.
Installation time varies with experience. Allow enough time to organize the hardware, assemble the two table levels, remove the tailgate trim carefully, mount the frame, and adjust the locks. A clear installation video and a second person can make the process easier.
Basic hand tools such as a screwdriver, wrench, and socket are recommended. A 10 mm wrench or socket is commonly used during assembly. Use a trim-removal tool when removing the factory tailgate panel to reduce the risk of damaging the clips.
